We believe that we are called to not only practical action, but spiritual action as well. Your voice goes a long way when you call your politicians and ask them to fund programs that will benefit those suffering from AIDS. Your money goes even farther when it buys drugs and food for children orphaned from AIDS. But we believe that your spiritual expressions go the farthest. We recognize that people differ in how they think about and participate in spiritual activities. Even so, we believe that asking God to show mercy, provision, and miraculous help to those in Africa is meaningful in ways that we don’t always see and can’t always understand.
Pray huge prayers for our friends in Africa. Pray for a cure for HIV. Pray for mercy on the lives of those affected by AIDS. Pray for the children taking care of children, and the great-grandmothers taking care of children, and for the children who have no one at all. Pray for our funding to be effective, for our programs to be helpful, for our message to go far. Pray for yourself, that you would always be a person who helps those in need.
